CRAFT STORY The Pichwai tradition began in 17th century Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Painted cloth panels hung behind Shrinathji in the temple, depicting his daily darshan, the seasons of Braj, and the lotus, peacock, cow, and gopi motifs that have become the visual signature of the tradition. Mortantra's Pichwai Inspired jewellery translates that visual vocabulary into wearable form, with gold plated metalwork holding the miniature at the centre.
