The gown has a suplice bodice, the cross drape is a classic design all the way back to Greek mythology, accenting a women's figure beautifully. The bodice back is a deep V that closes with self buttons and loops. The shoulder tops are gathered, the sleeves are long and sheer each wrist closes with a self button and loop. The skirt of the dress has a seamed waist, the skirt is gathered to soft fullness, there are over floating panels at the front and back, these add grace and drama when you walk, think all those gorgeous 1940s movie stars. The dress is unlined and appears to never have had a lining, the fabric is semi sheer. The dress comes with the original silk covered leather belt, we have shown it with a silk sash, which we thought was more in keeping with the flowing softness of the dress. Marked size 40.
